Born in Kawakawa (Bay of Islands), Pick studied at the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts. Working across painting, drawing, textiles and installation, she creates work in both figurative and representational styles, based in concepts of memory, fantasy, sexuality, human relationships and identity. In 1999 Pick was Frances Hodgkins Fellow at the University of Otago, Dunedin. A painting lecturer between 1997-98 at Elam School of Fine Arts, The University of Auckland, she now lives and works in Wellington, New Zealand.
